State Patrol: Man arrested for setting fire near SR-512

PARKLAND, Wash. – Washington State Patrol says a man has been arrested after he was caught lighting grass on fire at SR-512 and SR-7.

According to state patrol, someone called 911 to report that a pedestrian was attempting to start a fire with matches in that area.

The man was arrested after a short foot chase and will be booked into Pierce County Jail, state patrol says.
